Poolside Terrorist “Prank” Leaves Hotel Guests Terrified

Jet2Holidays has apologized after members of a Turkish hotel’s staff pulled a poolside prank on British holidaymakers while dressed as gun-wielding members of ISIS.

As part of the ‘Hollywood-themed’ show that the five-star Grand Yazici Mares hotel in Icmeler puts on for guests, disguised staff members ran around the pool waving fake guns. The stunt came on the heels of shootings at two Tunisian hotels, during which 38 people were killed, and holidaymakers were genuinely terrified that they were about to be killed.

Jet2Holidays, the tour operator sponsoring the guests, said in a prepared statement:

We are sorry to hear about the distress experienced by the Sutton family and on hearing this we immediately spoke to the hotel management.

They have assured us it was never their intention to cause any offense or upset with their entertainment programme. This was a Hollywood-themed poolside show, which included the characters Rambo and Superman, and it is always well received by the hotel’s residents.

The hotel management now understands that some of the costumes may have caused offense and they will no longer use these in their shows.
