Pilots to Vote on Salary Contract in October

In a move that could end four years of negotiations, Southwest Airlines pilots will vote on a contract that involves raising their salaries 30 percent by the end of this year. Southwest Airlines Pilots’ Association leaders confirmed Wednesday that have in fact sent a deal to its members will get to vote on between October and early November. Per The Dallas Morning News, the contract would extend through August 2020, if approved, and include “an immediate 15 percent pay raise, “retroactive pay to cover the years spent negotiating and subsequent annual raises of 3 percent.”
