Pax Sues United After Seatmate Urinates “All Over” Him

A New Jersey man is suing United Airlines because his seat mate peed on him during his flight from Newark to  Los Angeles.

His suit alleges that his neighbor not only “aimed it” at him to “urinate all over” his leg, but that he was not allowed to change seats and was “forced to endure the remainder of the flight to Newark/New Jersey in urine-drenched clothing.”

United is at fault, he says, because the man was clearly intoxicated before he boarded the flight in violation of United’s Contract of Carriage that obligates the airline to remove “passengers who appear to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs to a degree that the Passenger may endanger the Passenger or another Passenger or members of the crew.”

He is suing for assault, negligence, breach of contract and emotional distress. United responded saying “We have not yet been served with this suit and due to the pending litigation involved in this matter, we’re unable to provide further comment.”

It is against US law to fly a passenger that is intoxicated. Not sure the hate towards guy that got showered on. Only thing i can think is we've got a bunch of drunks posting.

Talk about frivolous lawsuits! Unfortunately, there are few judges with the guts to toss this crap out and force this idiot to pay United's legal expenses.

I'm not sure who is worse, the guy doing the peeing or the guy doing the suing.

what an idiot this passenger is. So what is he suggesting, every airline breath tests every passenger before they get on a flight ? What's the legal blood alcohol limit for being a passenger ? Many intoxicated people could easily sneak onto an aircraft without seeming drunk. Get a life.
