Passengers Endure “Appalling” 3-Hour Flight Without Toilet Paper

Forced to hold more than just their enthusiasm, unfortunate passengers were forced to endure a flight to London without any toilet paper.

Passengers aboard a Ryanair flight from Murcia-San Javier Airport (MJV) to London Stansted Airport (STN) last week were forced to go without basic provisions, as their aircraft took off without toilet paper or milk onboard. According to a Ryanair representative, speaking with Daily Mail, the three-hour flight departed with a “very rare and regrettable stock shortage” because the airline’s handling agents at MJV failed to deliver them.

Those onboard the aircraft claim they were not informed of the situation until after the safety demonstration was complete. One passenger told The Sun a wave of dread washed over the cabin upon the realization that there would be very limited toilet services during the flight to STN.

“Everyone has horrified looks on their faces; to be able to go to the toilet is a basic need,” Shaun O’dea, one of the passengers onboard, told The Sun. “It really was appalling.”

While Ryanair acknowledged the situation, the low-cost carrier stated their options were limited in the situation. A lack of available toilet paper and milk readily available at MJV forced the aircraft to either wait for the items to be delivered or depart without them.

“Our crew explained to passengers that we wished to prioritize an on time departure for [STN] rather than wait for these items to be delivered and cause a significant ATC delay for all our customers,” a Ryanair representative told Daily Mail. “Our passengers were very understanding and we apologized sincerely to them for any inconvenience caused.”

I do love the way that Ryanair could care less about passengers' comfort and truly embodies the concept "you get what you pay for." Reading this brought a smile to my face this morning!

Airline employee goes into airport bathroom, takes several rolls, returns to plane. Problem solved. Love that "wave of dread" though. Mike

Why would anyone just have to have toilet paper on an airplane? Business that requires toilet paper is done on land, preferably in one's home or hotel room.
