Passenger Tosses Coin Into Engine, Grounds Flight (Again)

It looks like the would-be lucky are at it again. Another passenger, also in Shanghai but this time on a Lucky Air flight, tossed coins into the engine of their plane.

Luckily fellow passengers spotted the move and alerted the crew.

The move is meant to be a “wish” for a safe flight, but it grounded the plane instead and local authorities detained the 76-year-old woman. It is not clear whether or not she will face charges.

The ground crew later found coins lying on the tarmac next to the aircraft.

This could have been prevented should the airline pay to use a jetbridge instead of making passengers climb portable stairs.

Maybe the airlines could become a bit more pro-active in preventing this type of occurance.
