Passenger “Predicts” Crash, Causes In-Flight Panic

A passenger on a recent Lion Air flight from Jakarta to Padang has been charged with causing in-flight panic.

According to authorities the passenger, around 30 minutes into his flight, put on his life vest and told other passengers to put theirs on because he “could see and feel” danger. He then got up from his seat and begged the flight crew to turn the plane around and go back to the airport.

The crew tried to remove his vest and calm him down, but he kept getting out of his seat to warn other passengers that the plane was in trouble and soon several other passengers were also in a panic.

The cabin crew repeatedly assured passengers that there was no danger and the flight made it to its destination despite the drama.

When the flight finally landed, ground crew apprehended the passenger and handed him over to airport authorities.
