“I Have A Gun!” “You’re a Rapist!” Passenger Meltdown Makes News

An allegedly intoxicated JetBlue passenger was taken into custody shortly after she was videotaped appearing to threaten a gate agent, indicating she had a firearm and calling the airport worker a “rapist.” Eyewitnesses say the profane and aggressive meltdown occurred after the air traveler’s flight was delayed by 15 minutes.
A passenger’s ridiculous tantrum directed at a JetBlue gate agent, quickly earned the disruptive flyer both overnight social media fame and an involuntary trip for a psyche evaluation. The aggressive flyer’s rant reportedly kicked off after the unidentified 26-year-old woman learned her flight from Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Newark Liberty Airport (EWR) would be delayed by 15 minutes.
Cellphone footage of the meltdown obtained by the Miami Herald shows the woman leaning over the kiosk as she shouts at the JetBlue agent. The airline employee appears not to react other than to calmly call for backup.
“Get me out of here!” the woman can be heard yelling at top volume. “Get Me Out of This State! Get me out of this f***ed up place, you rapist!”
Once the irate flyer had captured the attention of much of the terminal, she ended her performance by informing the crowd that she had a gun because she was “homeless.” Then, the outburst abruptly ended as the mysterious troublemaker turned heel and walked away.
The eyewitness who captured the tantrum on video, also later took footage of the woman after she was already handcuffed by police. According to press reports, the out-of-control passenger who appears to be Caucasian, could be heard repeatedly screaming, “I hate white cops” as she was being detained.
Although at least one passenger in the gate area indicated that the woman reacted poorly to news that her flight had been delayed by a few minutes, JetBlue officials told reporters that it was believed she lashed out only after being informed she would not be allowed to board her flight.
“On January 6, crew members at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport requested assistance from local law enforcement after a customer was denied boarding for indications of intoxication and became disruptive,” an airline spokesperson said in a statement.
Police told the newspaper that the woman was placed on an involuntary 72-hour hold due to “risk to her safety as well as to others.” According to an arrest report, that decision was based on her “irrational statements” and “bizarre behavior.”

I may be mistaken ... 1. More and more women nowadays seem to be adversely affected by alcohol as compared to men. 2. May be the best way is to stop drinking at least an hour before the flight, if you know your (in)tolerance threshold. 3. I pity poor gate agents who have to put-up with these and keep their composure. What if she really had a weapon that was undetected at the security. 4. When I saw the video, I thought that she was on some drugs! 5. If allowed on the plane, either she would have fallen asleep or acted in more weird ways! 6. I hope she didn't have an overseas connecting flight and more alcohol!
People like this should have their flying privileges suspended for a few years (or more) until they realize acting like this is not acceptable and have to undergo a mandatory psych evaluation.She is so unstable she has no business on an plane possibly harming herself or others.
