Passenger Adopts Seatmate’s Baby

Shocked baby laying down on bed

After 25-year-old Samantha Snipes sat next to 42-year-old Temple Phipps due to having to book a rescheduled Atlanta flight, Snipes, who had been considering putting her as-yet unborn child up for adoption due to family problems, found an enthusiastic volunteer in Phipps.

“She already looked like she loved him after holding him for an hour. The stuff that I wasn’t feeling she was feeling, and that’s what made me decide this was the right thing to do,” Snipes said after the two met up again shortly after the birth of the child.

The baby, Vaughan, is now eight months old.

I agree with IBobi, it made no sense. Should have said 25-year-old woman 8-months-pregnant who was thinking of giving up her child for adoption meets 42-year-old childless woman on flight. Older woman offers to adopt baby, younger woman agrees.

So Phipps held the as-yet-unborn child for an hour? Right...
