In Brief: ‘Nut-Rage’ Offender Receives Reduced Prison Sentence

Cho Hyun-ah, the daughter of Korean Air’s chairman, received a suspended prison term over her involvement in last year’s “nut rage” incident courtesy of Seoul High Court court Friday.

Cho was convicted after the December incident in which she threw a tantrum and physically confronted crew members of a Korean Air flight after she was served nuts in a bag as opposed to a bowl. Cho, who has been in prison since her arrest in December, was originally sentenced to two years. The suspension declares she is no longer required to carry out the sentence.
