Nursing Mother’s Delta Praise Goes Viral

A woman using the online handle Jenna Mde made a [slightly NSFW] Facebook post praising Delta Air Lines for the way they accommodated her need to pump breast milk aboard a flight, and the post has gone viral after making the rounds on social media. Public breastfeeding has become a hot topic issue in recent days, and Delta’s flight staff allowed Mde to have privacy in first class while attending to her business.

“Yesterday, two flight attendants… allowed me to sit in an empty first class seat for more space and privacy while I pumped in flight,” Mde wrote. “They offered me snacks and provided TONS of water during my pumping session. Additionally, on my return flight this afternoon, the Dallas-Love Field gate attendant… offered me an empty first-class seat so I could do the same.”

The post has gotten over 43,000 likes and 2,700 shares as of 10 a.m. EST on Feb. 15.

Don't bait those who expect too much. This will set a bad precedent for Delta's premium cabins if it catches on. But fortunately, the social media stuff has the shelf life of liquid helium ....
