Number of Drone Incidents at LHR in 2016 Revealed

In a figure that quadrupled since the previous year, reports by the UK Airprox Board account for 26 drone-related incidents in and around Heathrow Airport (LHR). Of those 26 incidents, 10 were considered category-A, which means “serious risk of collision.”
“In the wrong hands, drones are endangering the lives of passengers and thousands more on the ground,” said Richmond Park MP Sarah Olney.
