New Zealand Woman Claims Plane Dumped Poo on Her Property
A New Zealand resident insists that a passing plane is responsible for raining human waste onto her house and car.
Did feces fall from the sky? Karen Boss sure thinks so. The Auckland, New Zealand, resident suspects that a plane dumped human excrement on her house and car last month. Boss, whose home is under the flight path for planes nearing Auckland Airport (AKL), told The New Zealand Herald, “I’m absolutely disgusted at the moment. The amount of crap everywhere is horrendous.”
Boss said she plans to have a sample of the brown clumps tested, insisting to the Herald, “There’s no way it’s a bird or animal poo, it’s horrible. I’m sure it’s human, what else could it be with huge clumps like that?”
A second individual, who lives in rural Auckland and who wished to remain anonymous, told the Herald that planes had dropped human waste onto his home at least three times. After complaining to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for years, he said he finally gave up. He claims the CAA attributed the waste to migrating ducks, even though he alleges that he once saw the excrement fall out of a passing plane before the poo landed on him and his family. The CAA, however, contended that it never received such complaints.
Aviation expert Peter Clarke told the Herald that it was “very, very rare” for an aircraft to discharge sewage while in flight, although he conceded that “nothing is impossible.”
“The tanks on the aircraft can leak, they’ve been known to leak but it’s a very uncommon occurrence,” Clarke explained. “Manufacturers go to great extremes to develop safe systems and operations of aircraft to contain the waste. Planes do not fly around dumping waste.”
Trevor Bock, an airline safety consultant, suggested to the Daily Mail that “bad neighbors” were more likely the cause of Boss’ woes. “It’s certainly not coming from an aircraft because maintenance standards are extremely high today,” Bock said.
Claims that things fall from airplanes are nothing new. In August, a resident in Beaconsfield, England, speculated that British Airways’ aircraft were dropping condiment wrappers in his area.

oh i see - from Wiki : "Blue ice in the context of aviation is frozen sewage material leaked mid-flight from commercial aircraft lavatory waste systems, a biowaste mixture of human waste and liquid disinfectant that freezes at high altitude. The name comes from the blue color of the disinfectant. Airlines are not allowed to dump their waste tanks in mid-flight, and pilots have no mechanism by which to do so; however, leaks can occur."
why would poo be blue (question because i do not know, not because i am trying to be funny)
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the poo coming out of an airplane would be blue. Also, how could this women possibly see poo coming out of an airliner going perhaps 140 knots at maybe 800 feet?
