New Bazooka Nets Drones
Engineers have developed the Skywall 100, a device for the purpose of downing quadcopters flying into restricted airspace. The shoulder-mounted net launcher weighs 22 pounds and runs on compressed gas, and it boasts a 100-meter range and an eight-second reload time. The Skywall 100 also uses a “smart scope” that calculates the drone’s distance and vector, giving the operator exact coordinates of where to aim. There have been no reports on projected price or availability at this stage, although there have been assurances by the group that the first models will become commercially available by the end of 2016.

As long as we focus in catching drones and not the owners, the battle will be very costly and endless, as, like terrorism, it only takes one guy to mess things up..
They'll work 20% of the time, cost $200,000 and require lengthy and frequent expensive maintenance, upgrades, and constant resupply of ammunition.
