National Car Rental’s One Two Free Promotion Is Back

The annual One Two Free promotion from National Car Rental and the Emerald Club is back.

“This year, we’ve extended the earning period and incorporated additional opportunities for frequent travelers to earn free days more quickly while experiencing award-winning convenience and efficiency when they’re on the road,” vice president of brand marketing for National Car Rental Rob Connors said in a press release.

Emerald Club members can register for the One Two Free promo and get rewarded with one free rental day for every 600 points they accumulate as part of the promo. There are plenty of ways for frequent renters to earn points. For example, renting a car via a mobile app awards 75 points. Renting a car in Europe results in 300 points. Taking a survey? That’s another 50 points in your Emerald Club account.

The promotion period runs from Aug. 24 through Feb. 28. Earned points and free rental certificates will expire June 15, so make sure to use them before their expiration date. Certificates cover base rate but not taxes or other rental fees.

Other bonus opportunities include, but are not limited to:

• Redeem a Free Rental Day (U.S. residents only): Earn a one-time bonus of 300 points after redeeming one free day earned during the One Two Free promo.
• Refer a Friend: Earn 300 points for each friend or family member who enrolls in Emerald Club and completes a qualifying rental. (Limited to 10 friends.)
• Latin American or Caribbean Rental (U.S. residents only): Rent a car at participating locations in these regions and earn 300 bonus points. For location details, click here.
• Earn 5 Bonus Opportunities: Complete any five qualifying bonus activities and earn an additional one-time bonus of 75 points.
• Add Sirius XM (U.S. residents only): Add satellite radio to a qualifying rental and earn a one-time bonus of 300 points.
• Make Three Rentals: Complete three qualifying rentals and earn a one-time bonus of 100 points.
