“Mysterious Injuries” Cause US to Evacuate Cuba, Warn Against Travel

On Friday, the United States cut its diplomatic presence in Cuba by half due to mysterious “attacks” that have caused dizziness, hearing loss, headache, cognitive issues and fatigue in US embassy personnel. According to the state department, twenty-one U.S. embassy employees reported symptoms.

“Until the government of Cuba can ensure the safety of our diplomats in Cuba, our embassy will be reduced to emergency personnel in order to minimize the number of diplomats at risk of exposure to harm,” said Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said in a statement.
