MSP Receives Award for Best Bathroom

The restrooms at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) took top honors in the 15th annual America’s Best Restroom Contest. The general public voted on a group of 10 finalists that also included a Doctor Who-themed Tardis restroom at a bar in Brooklyn, and a bookstore restroom in St. Louis covered in the ripped-out pages of classic literature.

“The restroom is often the first place visited on arrival and the last stop for departing passengers, leaving a lingering impression of their destination,” said Alan Howell, the Metropolitan Airports Commission’s Senior Airport Architect.

Is this serious or a joke? The MSP restrooms are famous for the 2007 arrest of former ID Senator, Larry Craig for lewd conduct, later reduced to disorderly conduct. They should have a Larry Craig stall so you can test out a "wide stance."

Former Idaho Senator Larry Craig commented on the new restrooms: "I am so pleased that the new restrooms will allow me to have a wide stance."

Funny, the restrooms had a place of notoriety a few years ago. Remember foot tapping and Senators?
