Modern Family Editor Live-Tweets Encounter with “The Worst Person in the World”
An editor for the ABC sitcom “Modern Family” tweeted her in-flight experience while sitting behind a drunken passenger having a meltdown.
“The worst person in the world.”
That’s what Ryan Case called her fellow passenger during a recent flight to Las Vegas. Late on Sunday evening, Case, an editor for ABC’s “Modern Family”, had the misfortune — or fortune, depending on how you see it — of sitting behind a passenger who was allegedly having a drunken meltdown. Thanks to the plane’s Wi-Fi connection, Case was able to live-tweet her experience.
On her Twitter page, @film114, Case kicked off the 67-tweet saga by explaining that she was sitting behind a woman watching “Hawaii Five-0” so loudly that her seatmate asked her to lower the volume.
She apologized in the loudest, drunkest voice ever “SORRY ITS MY 1ST TIME NOT IN 1ST CLASS” & hasn’t stopped talking since.

According to Case, the woman claimed to know musician David Guetta and that she always sits at a table next to the DJ when she goes to Vegas, which she allegedly does “all the time“. The woman, according to Case, went on to offend Middle Eastern passengers seated around her.
After saying “MY ARAB FRIENDS” so many times she slurred “is that SO racist?” then kept on saying it — Ryan Case (@film114) September 29, 2014
She said “I have a very racist view of all Middle East.” She’s talking to a middle Eastern man, also mocking his accent. — Ryan Case (@film114) September 29, 2014
When the disruptive passenger went to the bathroom, Case tweeted:
I can hear her trying to beg the flight attendant in back for something, undoubtedly world peace. I’m kidding it’s vodka.

After all sorts of shenanigans — including but not limited to playing with her seatmate’s television and flirting with him in front of his wife — the woman got into an argument with passengers seated in front of her, loudly insulting them and hurling vulgarities.
“This is what the F happens when you don’t fly first class.” she shrieked.

After a flight attendant asked her to stop speaking, the woman replied by saying “they’re not on my level anyway,” according to a tweet from Case. Toward the end of the flight, Case figured out that the woman’s name is Nadia and snapped a photo of her. Four police officers reportedly met the aircraft and Nadia upon landing.
