Miami Airport Passengers Detained, Searched After Security Scare

On Wednesday evening, flyers at Miami International Airport (MIA) were detained after a mysterious, unspecified security threat was reported in relation to an American Airlines flight set to depart. Drug-sniffing dogs were brought aboard the aircraft and several passengers’ cell phones were searched by authorities, who were allegedly searching for a threatening AirDrop message.

No arrests were made in relation to the hypothetical threat.
