Metal Band’s Plane Damaged at SCL

A Boeing 747 owned by metal band Iron Maiden ran into a tow truck at Santiago International Airport (SCL) Saturday. Not only did the aircraft – known as “Ed Force One” – experience severe damage, but two airport workers were injured as a result of the incident, which occurred while the plane was being prepped for a flight.

According to the Iron Maiden’s website, “On moving, the steering pin that is part of the mechanism that connects the ground tug to the aircraft seemingly fell out.”
