Man Holds Flight Attendant Hostage, Diverts Air China Flight

On Sunday, an Air China flight destined for Beijing was forced to land in central China after a male passenger identified only as Xu took a flight attendant hostage with a pen in lieu of a knife. According to China’s Civil Aviation Authority, “the matter was successfully handled,” whatever that means, and that the passenger has a history of mental health issues.
