Man Faces Fine After Sneaking Gun, Dog in Baggage

An unidentified man traveling through Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) was arrested after attempting to sneak a handgun, his dog, and a small knife through a security checkpoint.

He’s now facing a fine of $12,000 for the incident.

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents first caught the firearm as it passed through the X-ray machine. The dog was then spotted inside what appeared to be a pet carrier disguised as a duffel bag.

In a statement, TSA said, “It’s difficult to say which of the two was more surprising — the X-ray image of the gun or the image of the dog’s moving skeleton.

“Firearms are never allowed at checkpoints and pets should not be placed through X-ray machines.”
