The U.S. has filed criminal charges against an Emirates flyer who allegedly sexually assaulted a neighboring passenger while she slept.

Charges were filed Monday against a man who allegedly sexually assaulted his seatmate aboard Emirates Flight 203 from Dubai to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

The criminal complaint, filed in the Eastern District of New York, alleges that defendant Nadeem Mehmood Quraishi, 42, sexually assaulted a female passenger after she took anti-anxiety medicine and fell asleep. A portion of the complaint reads:

“A few hours later, the passenger woke up. The defendant asked the passenger whether she had a good nap. The passenger noticed that lotion had been spread on her arms, chest, and up her legs and that the hand lotion she had placed in the pocket in front of her seat was missing.”

When the female flyer went to the restroom, she allegedly noticed that lotion was also on her underwear. She then notified the flight crew, who spoke to the defendant.

“The defendant told flight attendants that he applied lotion to the passenger’s arms, shoulders, and legs and used the lotion in her vaginal area,” the complaint said. “The defendant also told the flight attendants that he thought the passenger needed it, and that the passenger enjoyed it because she did not resist.”

He noted he “liked it” and that it happened to him as a child.

Quraishi was arrested upon arrival at JFK and read his Miranda rights, which he waived. He then acknowledged touching the flyer and said he knew it was wrong.

Quraishi appeared Tuesday in federal court, where bond was set at $50,000. He was ordered to surrender his passport and not leave New York City.

The creepy angle aside ... why on Earth would he admit having done so??? If you want to be a good serial offender working on an alibi and staunchly asserting your innocence are key. I guess he will learn that now from fellow thugs.

"...the passenger enjoyed it because she did not resist." What? I can't even. Sleeping people do tend to be unaware of their surroundings. This guy has serious psychological issues... I'm also kinda shocked that it seems that no one noticed / stopped this while it was happening?
