You Can Now Earn Hilton Points With Lyft

Hilton Honors and Lyft announced a partnership, and Hilton guests have a brand-new way of earning bonus points.

Lyft customers who link their accounts with Hilton Honors will receive 3X points per dollar spent with the ride-hailing service in the United States and Canada on up to $10,000 of eligible spending per calendar year. Taxes, fees, toll costs and tips aren’t eligible for the bonus earning. Lyft Line customers will earn 2X points per dollar spent on shared rides.

This isn’t Lyft’s first partnership of this caliber. Delta Air Lines and JetBlue flyers both get rewarded extra miles for taking Lyft to/from the airport as well as in their daily lives, and linking one account doesn’t prevent earning bonus points with the others.

Hilton guests can earn Hilton Honors points, Delta SkyMiles and TrueBlue Points from the same transaction. This is triple-dipping at its finest, or quadruple if you pay with the right rewards-earning credit card. Let’s take a look at how the bonus earning shakes out on a $20 ride to the airport. You will earn:

  • 60 Hilton Honors points
  • 40 Delta SkyMiles
  • 30 JetBlue TrueBlue Points
  • 60 Chase Ultimate Rewards (Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Ink Business Preferred) or 60 ThankYou Points (Citi ThankYou Premier, Citi Prestige)

Later on, it will be possible to redeem Hilton Honors points toward free Lyft rides, but it’s not known yet when the option will be a reality.

Hilton rewards nights begin at 5,000 Hilton Honors points, and the partnership might not be the most compelling way to earn enough points for a free stay, but it never hurts to earn rewards on activities you already do anyway. You might as well link your accounts and collect bonus points without much effort.

What do you think of the new partnership between Hilton and Lyft?

Wow I had no idea of this benefit. Thanks so much for sharing. How do you “ link” your Lyft and honors accounts exactly? I mean other than my using the Hilton amex as primary payment method? I can’t seem to figure it out :/ Thanks in advance!!!

Buy LYFT Stock ! It should go way up, as most of us here on Flyer Talk will use Lyft as first choice over Urber. Partners like Delta and Hilton were great choices. Lookfor Marriott to join UBER sooner than later.
