Lufthansa Releases Universal Passenger Check-In

Lufthansa (LIH) has launched a new service called AirlineCheckins that allows passengers can check in on any airline from a central point. Users will be able to check in online at over 100 airlines at different airports around the world. The featured carriers have yet to be announced at this stage of the release, but they are said to be “large and medium-sized airlines.”

The system is also set to include a section for preferences, allowing passengers to specify whether they would prefer a seat at the front or rear of an aircraft, aisle or window seat, and other seating arrangements. LIH wrote on the FAQ section of their website: “The online check-in process is identical to the face-to-face discussion at the airline’s check-in desk at the airport, but it has the benefit of allowing you to go directly to security when you arrive at the airport, then head straight to your gate, where you scan your previously issued boarding pass at the appropriate checkpoint or show your pass to the relevant employee.”

UncleDude, did you post that comment in the wrong place? The above article is about check-in, not about what time of day flights are!
