Lufthansa Pilot Sends Coded Hijacker Message On Accident

An unnamed pilot flying an Embraer ERJ-190 operated by Lufthansa accidentally transmitted a coded message to air traffic control signalling a hijacking aboard the flight. The misunderstanding occurred when the pilot attempted to report a communications error that only allowed communications to be sent to ATC and not returned.

Mechanics reportedly spent five hours repairing the aircraft after it landed.
