Airlines should better not engage in a race to the bottom... 🙄

I travel regularly only with hand luggage, but here in Asia, the limits are not enforced, so as long as you dont carry a huge case, that cabin luggage of 7kg (mmmh... more like 15kg) will go in the cabin without a problem.

jtpallante, I'm sorry, but I have to severely disagree with you on that. It's remarkably easy to travel overseas without checked baggage. I have been across Europe for 6 weeks by land, Caribbean island hopping, a circle around South America, countryhopping throughout South-East Asia and almost 2 weeks in Uzbekistan all with merely hand luggage and survived marvellously. It's in my opinion that people nowadays take far too much and expect far too much from airlines.

You can thank all of the discount carriers that are going to/from europe and the people that buy these fares for the race to the bottom.... Although it seems the target audience are people who travel really light with backpacks (17lbs/8kg)
