Lufthansa Allegris: A First-Class Suite Coming in 2024

The airline announced the launch of the Lufthansa Allegris, a “Suite Plus” and business class refresh coming to the carrier’s new deliveries of Airbus A350 airframes.
New Suite Features Fully Private Suites and Upgraded Business Class
The star of the Allegris product generation is the new first class seat: A completely enclosed double-cabin suite with a closable door and two wide seats for flyers. Much like Singapore Airlines’ first class suite, the new Lufthansa product can also be converted to a double bed at the request of the flyers.
The comforts don’t stop with the large bed. Each suite will offer climate controls, allowing travelers to select the temperature they are most comfortable. In addition to the suite of films and television shows available on the entertainment system, flyers can also watch their own programming by connecting their devices.
When it’s time to relax, the suite also includes a personal wardrobe, so flyers can change at their leisure with privacy. Meals from the gourmet menu are also served by the crew in the suite, allowing travelers to eat in peace.
“Every guest has their own understanding of premium, which is why we focus on maximum individuality and exclusivity,” said Lufthansa CEO Jens Ritter in a press release. “The First Class Suite Plus conveys the feeling of privacy and individuality similar to a hotel room – only at an altitude of eleven kilometers.”
Business Class Included in Allegris Upgrade
The airline’s business class selection will also see an upgrade with Allegris. Six new seat configurations will be available for business flyers, including those with extra-long beds, extra work spaces, baby bassinets at the seat, or a double seat with the a retractable center console. Each seat will still offer high walls, high-definition screens, wireless device charging, and Bluetooth connectivity.

I really hope they deliver this. Qatar CEO didn't have kind words about it though :)
I wonder if this means they'll return first class to some of the U.S. routes that lost it.
I'm confused -- what if you're traveling alone rather than as a couple?
Looking at the pictures it looks like the single suites are on the left side of the airplane and couple suites are on the right.
Unless your traveling non stop around the world, this is overkill.
Why overkill? I'd take it for any flight!
This website says that Lufthansa will retrofit all existing long hall aircraft including the 747-8s.
That would be VERY special!!
