LMAO: TFW You Go to The Lounge for the First Time

Do you remember the first time you visited an airport lounge? Funny guy KevOnStage recently recorded his first experience in a lounge, saying “Yesterday I gained access to the Sky Club. This is my story.” And, from his first cool sip of lounge water to his walk “amongst the commoners again” his story is hilarious.

Yesterday I gained access to the Sky Club. This is my story.

This was great. I remember my first time and it was similar. I couldn't help it but I felt special, like I had reached another level of traveler that was just a bit better than the 'commoners' out in the bad seat areas of the airport. I know that I wasn't but my ego sure felt like I was. I was careful with how I moved and how much food and drinks I took so I didn't look like a newb, which in hindsight, probably made me look like one. Fortunately for me I was actually in Biz class on Cathay so my seat was great. The best part? It was using the showers in HKG during my layover. Was I silly thinking it made me special? Yes. Was I better than any other traveler? Nope Did my ego feel special? Absolutely. For a little while anyways. :)

First time going into a lounge was earlier this year. JAL Sakura Lounge at Narita airport which I tried out because I had access from my paid PY tickets. I was rather disappointed by my experience there as it was crowded (except for the window counters) and there was a big line/wait to get any food. Still had around 2 hours to go until the evening flight, but I ended up leaving the Sakura lounge and headed down to the open sky lounge 'Wa' in terminal 2 that I always used when I had a standard Y ticket.
