Smart Restrooms With Tooshlights Are Coming to LAX

The bathrooms at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) have seen the introduction of “smart restrooms” at American Airlines’ Terminal 4, which include lights above each stall connected to “smart latches” that glow green when the stall is vacant and red when the stall is occupied. Adding “smart” as a descriptor for basic electric functionality isn’t just a matter of branding – the bathroom will gather real-time data to determine peak busy periods.
