LATAM Gets Closer to Partnership With AA & BA

LATAM Airlines announced Tuesday that Brazil’s antitrust authority Cade approved its joint business agreement with American Airlines Group and British Airways’ parent company IAG.

The agreement will allow American and IAG to offer more connections and lower fares on flights to South America. However, the deal still requires approval by the U.S. Department of Transportation and Brazil’s Congress to officially go into effect.
