LATAM Connects D.C. to Peru

On Monday, LATAM launched a flight from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to the company’s hub in Lima, Peru, signaling the start of regular service between D.C. and the Peruvian capital. LATAM plans to fly the route with a Boeing 767-300 aircraft, and the company expects leisure demand to account for 70-80 percent of passengers on the route. The expansion is the latest part of LATAM’s strategy for business in North America, and D.C. marks the fifth destination for the company in the U.S. in addition to Los Angeles, Miami, New York-JFK, and Orlando.
