LA Times Letter: Let Airline Execs Sit in Their Own Seats, See How They Like It

In reference to an article titled “The ‘Battle’ Between Our Backs, Knees and Wallets” by Catherine Hamm in the Los Angeles Times, reader Gary Kazanjian of Hermosa Beach wrote a letter to the editor in which he stated his belief that all airline employees, including the upper echelons of management, ought to fly exclusively in the carrier’s thinnest seats:

“I don’t believe there is a 1-to-1 correlation between fees and ticket prices and the airlines’ need to make a profit … This is a capitalist society, and the airlines must increase profits to appease their stockholders. They will increase fees and ticket prices to what they think the market will bear,” writes Kazanjian.

I have thought execs should take a trip in the seats their customers ride in and I don’t mean first or business class. In Some seats there is not enough Cush for your tush. I thought going to the la times article would be more informative but it was not.

Great Recommendation especially with an exec over 6 feet tall and the seat in front of them fully reclined.

I have a better idea. Make their spouses ride in economy, in a middle seat and you will the seating improve overnight
