Jennifer Lawrence’s Plane Makes Emergency Landing Due to Engine Failure

On Monday, a private plane carrying film actor Jennifer Lawrence was forced to make an emergency landing after the aircraft’s engines underwent a rare double-engine failure, according to a representative for Lawrence.

The Federal Aviation Administration released a statement describing the incident: “A Hawker Beechcraft B40 aircraft landed safely at Buffalo Niagara International Airport in New York at about 1:40 pm on Saturday […] The crew diverted to Buffalo when they declared an emergency due to engine-related issues. The flight was heading to Teterboro Airport in New Jersey from Louisville, Kentucky.”

ATC may have initially given the flight a Northerly routing for traffic flow and/or weather avoidance.
