Is Overbooking Going to Become A Thing of the Past At British Airways?

IAG recently announced that it has developed a new platform called Yana which allows airlines to identify “flexible passengers” on high-demand flights and offer them “alternative seats on lower demand flights with added incentives.”

The “flexible passengers” will be identified days in advance, before overbooking and becomes a problem and with enough lead time for them to change their travel plans.

Incentives will include upgrades, travel vouchers and frequent flier points.
