Iraqi Stopped After Passenger Misreads “ISIS Message”

Iraqi Stopped After Passenger Misreads “ISIS Message”
Ryan Boyd

An Iraqi man was prevented from boarding an EasyJet flight from Vienna to London on Saturday after a fellow passenger reported him over what she believed to be “ISIS messages” on his mobile phone. The flight was delayed by three hours as passengers were removed from the plane and further security measures were taken by airport staff. The flight eventually departed without the man or the woman, both of whom who stayed in Austria to answer further questions about the incident. The man was later released without charge. “There was nothing suspicious found and he has been allowed to continue his journey,” said Karl-Heinz Grundboeck, Austrian Interior Ministry spokesman.
