Veterinarian Saves Men From Burning Plane

A 34-year-old Iraqi national helped rescue travelers from a burning private jet that was downed just after takeoff in Germany Thursday.

According to reports, one of the private jet’s two engines malfunctioned, forcing the pilot to land on the nearest flat area – a refugee shelter in Osnabrück.

When Hassanien Salman saw the smoking wreckage from afar, he ran to help. Salman, a veterinarian, was able to extinguish a fire and assist in the treatment of two men sitting in the front of the propeller jet who were badly injured.
