Iran Claims Three Models Offered by Boeing
Iran’s state-run news agency reported on Monday that Boeing has offered Iran’s airlines three models of new aircraft as a replacement for the country’s aging fleet. Boeing has declined to comment publicly on the alleged deal between airline executives and officials in Tehran, but Iran’s news agency quoted Maqsoud Asadi Samani, secretary of the Society of Iranian Airlines, as saying that Boeing has offered 737, 787 and 777 models. Samani said Iran was reviewing the offers. John Dern, a spokesperson for Boeing, said that the company discussed the “capabilities of Boeing airplanes, along with the support the company provides.”

I am not overly sure of the real amount of sales here as well as pricing on those birds. If it keep AB busy at cheap contract pricing Boeing can make it up with other carriers. As one can read I am not overly trustful of the Iranians.
With so many A380 orders earlier, makes you wonder why they didn't try to shove some 748's in there?
