Not only did I get bumped from my first class seat, one of my flight legs was canceled and united refused to put me back on my original flight when the flight was reinstated. Stating all the seats went to the customers who were originally booked on those flights. Which I was, and I am a 1K and I had a first class seat. So I drive from GRR to ORD to get the second leg of my flight to Nashville. Paid for a rental car, drop fee, gas, tolls, etc. then waiting at my gate in ORD to board the gate agent offered a $500 voucher to voluntarily give up your seat and take the next flight. I asked what they pay when you don’t volunteer and have your seat given away, and don’t even get that leg of the flight replaced. The gate agent said, “ that would never happen”. Guess what it did!
