Investigators Claim Traces of Explosives Found in EgyptAir Crash

Investigators have reported that traces of explosive material were found among the remains of victims of an EgyptAir crash that occurred in May. The report made by Egypt’s civil aviation investigation committee suggests that the crash, which resulted in the dead of all 66 passengers aboard the flight, could have been the result of a bomb detonation aboard the flight.

“The central directorate of aircraft accident investigation received reports from the forensic medicine authority indicating traces of explosive materials found in some of the remains of the victims’ bodies,” said the ministry in a statement Thursday.
