Infant’s Head Struck by Oxygen Canister on AA Flight

On Saturday, a one-year-old boy was reportedly hit on the head by a falling oxygen canister on an American Airlines flight from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), along with an entire ceiling panel.

According to American Airlines, the boy’s mother, Jennifer Zanone, declined medical assistance upon landing at DFW.

“American’s primary concern is for the Zanone family and their young child,” read a statement from the carrier. “Our customer relations team has spoken with Mrs. Zanone to offer additional support and obtain details of what transpired at Dallas/Fort Worth Saturday. Customers trust us to take care of them and we take that responsibility seriously.”
