In Brief: United Jet Makes an Emergency Landing After Landing Gear Malfunctions

A United Airlines flight from Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) was forced to make an emergency landing Saturday after a landing gear malfunction prevented the aircraft’s front wheels from working properly. The pilot of Flight 3645 safely landed the regional jet at O’Hare International Airport (ORD) despite the lack of nose gear. No injuries were reported. According to a representative from the Department of Aviation, the flight experienced undisclosed “mechanical problems” while en route to ORD.
