In Brief: Singapore Airlines Aircraft Loses Power to Its Engines Mid-Flight

A Singapore Airlines flight plunged 13,000 feet after it lost power to all of its engines mid-flight Saturday. Reports claim flight SQ836 en route to Shanghai encountered stormy weather around 39,000 feet when the temporary loss of power to the Airbus A330 took place.

The aircraft landed safely at its destination after the pilots were able to regain control of both the engines and no injuries were reported among the 182 passengers and 12 crew members.
