In Brief: Propeller Crashes Through Family’s NY Home (PHOTO)

The propeller of a single engine aircraft detached and fell through the attic of an upstate New York home Thursday. The family of the residence was not present at the time of the incident, and the pilot glided the aircraft safely to his nearby private landing strip.

No injuries were reported and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been alerted of the incident. Officials say the administration will conduct an investigation with the cooperation from state police.
