In Brief: Hail Severely Damages Brand-New American Dreamliner

American Airlines Flight 88 was en route to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) Monday when intense hail damaged the brand-new Boeing 787-8 and forced it to return to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). Pictures of the damage later surfaced on Twitter.

The airline released a statement confirming the incident and, according to spokeswoman Andrea Huguely, the Dreamliner is undergoing repairs. There were no injuries reported among the 209 passengers onboard.
