Former heavyweight champ David Haye was among the many Emirates customers left stranded Sunday after a mouse was spotted in the cabin of their flight to Dubai. The sighting occurred while the Boeing 777-300ER was on the tarmac at Birmingham Airport (BHX).

The boxer took to social media, claiming he just started to settle into his seat when a fellow passenger began screaming onboard.

Cabin crew reportedly spent about half an hour attempting to catch the mouse, but the chase ended when the pest crawled into a vent, prompting the airline to cancel the flight. According to Emirates, affected passengers were booked into hotels overnight and “engineering and cleaning teams are working to clear the aircraft to re-enter service.”

Update: An earlier version of this story erroneously reported the incident occurred at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM). It has been updated to show the incident occurred at Birmingham Airport (BHX)

Really? EK now flies to Birmingham Shuttlesworth (Alabama)? I could have sworn they served the original Birmingham (BHX). You know, the one in the UK?

Isn't that the wrong airport? I didn't know that there would be demand from Alabama to Dubai ;)
