In Brief: Emirates Named Most Valuable Airline Brand in the World

According to the 2015 Brand Finance Global 500 report, Emirates is among the world’s top 200 brands. The UAE flag carrier managed to jump 38 ranks up from its 2014 ranking, securing position 196 in this year’s report. The annual report named Emirates as both the most valuable brand in the Middle East and the most valuable airline brand in the world, pointing out that the carrier’s brand value has grown more than 21 percent year over year.

“Being named the most valuable airline brand in the world is great recognition for each and every one of our staff, as they are the ones who live, breathe and deliver the Emirates brand every day in the work they do,” said Emirates CEO Tim Clark. “The strength of the Emirates brand also underscores the positive impact that we are making on our industry, and we will continue to work hard and invest in our brand.”

Why is FT running this press release for Emirates? I remember how surprised I was when I found out that money could get you highly rated in these sorts of things.

You mean Delta's constant and significant devaluation of its frequent flyer program didn't help it garner top brand?

Golly, don't let Richard Anderson see this - he may be tempted to put another foot into his mouth. Them A-rabs are a terroristical bunch.
