In Brief: EasyJet Ditches “.com” & Unveils Sleek New Look

04easy

EasyJet is changing the look of its aircraft for the first time since 1998. Primary design changes to the livery include the removal of the “.com” following the airline’s name, the extension of the tail’s orange paint and a diagonal stripe on the fuselage. The trademark color will now stretch from the tail to the fuselage to make space for the logo, which is 15 percent larger. The addition of the stripe will allow the logo to be reversed out of that color, giving the plane a sleeker look. The new livery will be seen on all new easyJet aircraft delivered from April 2015, and the rest of the fleet will be painted with the design as aircraft come in for repairs, with half the fleet expected to sport the livery by the end of 2017.
