In Brief: American Flight Given All-Clear After Computerized Bomb Threat

An all-clear was given to American Airlines Flight 260 at Miami International Airport (MIA) after a search was conducted Monday morning following a bomb threat. The computerized threat reportedly implied that a passenger onboard the 737-800 from Los Angeles had a bomb strapped to his leg.

According to officials, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) received the threat and a Miami-based bomb squad conducted a search of both the aircraft and each passenger onboard with help from a K-9 unit. No threats were found.
