In Brief: Air New Zealand’s New Safety Video Stars Pro Surfers, Shows Off Hot Beaches & Bodies

Air New Zealand recruited professional surfers to star in its latest in-flight safety video. Released this week, “Surfing Safari” stars several big-name athletes, including Laird Hamilton, Mick Fanning, Anastasia Ashley and Alana Blanchard, who inform viewers of the airline’s rules against smoking on flights, how to inflate a life jacket, as well as how to activate “Airplane Mode” on a phone.

The New Zealand flag carrier has a long history of producing colorful safety videos packed with celebrities. To date, the airline’s most popular video is the Hobbit-themed “The Most Epic Safety Video Ever Made” with more than 14 million views on YouTube.
