Hyatt Offers Double Elite Qualifying Nights on Andaz Stays

From time to time, various hotel chains offer guests ways to earn extra points, accelerated status or elite nights to attract more customers, and Hyatt’s new promotion is designed for members to earn status faster.

Guests who stay at Andaz properties between July 1 and Aug. 31 will earn double elite nights toward World of Hyatt status qualification. Since it became more difficult to earn top-tier elite status in the World of Hyatt program last year with a whopping 60-night requirement, such promotions are quite welcome to work your way to Globalist status.

As a reminder, World of Hyatt program features three elite status tiers with quirky names:

  • Discoverist: 10 qualifying nights or 25,000 Base Points
  • Explorist: 30 qualifying nights or 50,000 Base Points
  • Globalist: 60 qualifying nights or 100,000 Base Points

Hyatt includes 17 Andaz properties in its portfolio, and they range in locations from San Diego to Maui and from Tokyo to Amsterdam. However, just eight of them are located in the United States, and unless you travel internationally, you might have a hard time earning bonus elite nights with this specific promo.

Keep in mind that award nights count toward elite status, and it is possible to redeem an award stay and earn double elite nights for that stay. Promo nights earned in July will post in August, and promo nights earned in August will post in September. Make sure that your checkout date falls in the promotional date range to qualify.

What do you make of Hyatt’s newest promotion? Will this affect how you travel or not?
